Toyota Country Music Festival’s first line-up and tickets on sale announcement is here and it’s big!!
The Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth is back – celebrating a monumental 46 years in 2018 with a stellar line-up of Australia’s top country music stars.
Held over ten days from 19 until 28 January, the Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth is a Festival experience like no other with more than 700 artists performing at over 2,800 events across 120 venues.
This year’s headlining acts include a cast of perennial favourites and multi-award winners like Troy Cassar-Daley, Lee Kernaghan, The McClymonts, Sara Storer, John Williamson and Adam Eckersley Band.
Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth Manager Barry Harley said, “Across the ten days of the Festival, the city will be filled with Australian country music legends, newcomers, award winners, and buskers, showing the rest of the world why Tamworth is the place to be in January.”
Buzz bands, Hurricane Fall, The Pigs, The Viper Creek Band and Cruisin Deuces will also be returning to Tamworth in January with shows at the popular Long Yard and Southgate Hotels. Fans will be pleased to hear that Shane Nicholson and Catherine Britt will be back in their regular spots at The Pub plus newly minted stars Fanny Lumsden and Travis Collins are both set for huge shows this festival.
“Tamworth in January truly is the ultimate destination for country music fans and festival enthusiasts alike. It is the home of country music in Australia and the birthplace of many country music careers and if you haven’t been to a Tamworth Festival before, there’s no better time than now,” Mr Harley said.
NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall congratulated festival organisers on the 2018 line-up and said the Tamworth Country Music Festival was proudly supported by the State’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
“As the largest music festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the top 10 in the world, this iconic event has cemented Tamworth’s reputation as Australia’s country music capital,” Mr Marshall said.
“In 2018, the event is expected to attract 13,700 overnight visitors and deliver more than $13 million in visitor spend and I encourage country music fans across Australia to start planning their visit to Tamworth next January for an outstanding country NSW event.”
Tickets to Festival shows and the popular Riverside camp grounds go on sale to the general public on 1 August. You can sign up as a subscriber before 28 July to have access to the pre-sale from Friday 28 – Monday 31 August.

The 46th Toyota Country Music Festival, Tamworth will be held from Friday, 19 to Sunday, 28 January 2018 with the 46th Golden Guitar Awards on Saturday 27 January 2018 at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre.
