The Retirement, Lifestyle and Travel Expo at Rosehill was held over 3 days last weekend. Go55s was lucky enough to have the opportunity of donating 300 newspapers to the Cancer Council Stand for their goodie bags.
Heather Hawkins the inspiring cancer survivor who appeared on the cover of our winter issue kindly donated her time on Saturday morning to meet and greet people and tell of her inspirational story.
Heather recently completed a North Pole Arctic Marathon, 42 gruelling kilometers run across a remote ice floe, a short helicopter flight from the geographical North Pole. If you haven’t read her amazing story click here
Representatives from the Cancer Council said “People really liked talking with Heather and some of them even started to bring up their tears. We are so delighted that both of you are so generous and helping us to support our vision to beat cancer.”
Two Go55 team members also attended the event, Jack our Senior Sales Manager said it was fantastic to meet Heather Hawkins, what an courageous woman and we are so proud to have her featured on our front page and we are also honoured to be alongside the Cancer Council.”
