Get outdoors in Kandos. From bushwalking, bird watching and a 1930’s built golf course, there is plenty of action in this small town beneath the mountains. Kandos’ Henbury golf course was designed by two famous gold architects in the 1930s and boasts a leisurely 18-hole course for the everyday golfer.
You can also marvel at the architecture from the art deco age before checking out a unique motorcycle museum.
Head back to the 19th century with a stop off in Rylstone. Known and cherished for its picturesque sandstone buildings, wide streets and many heritage listed structures including the police station, courthouse and the shire hall. This little gem is filled with boutique markets, arts, crafts and natural treasures – a true delight for every visitor. This little village is fast becoming known for wineries, world-renowned olive estates and gourmet foods. Rylstone is also the gateway to the World Heritage listed Wollemi National Park – pack a picnic and enjoy breathtaking views from Nullo Mountain.
