Thousands of food, wine, and beer lovers are expected to descend on the Riverina this October, enticed by a diverse line‐up of events for the 2017 Taste Riverina Festival.
The month long Festival brings together the Riverina’s finest producers, growers, and chefs, featuring long lunches and degustation dinners, farmers’ markets, cooking demos, cultural and farm tours, regional dishes and award winning wine and beer.
In its sixth year, Taste Riverina will offer more than forty of the region’s best events, all held amongst unique landscape settings. The program of events provides a complete paddock to plate experience where you can visit working farms, taste and purchase regional produce, experience bush tucker, local art and live music. And of course, divulge in a multitude of culinary delights.
NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall said the Taste Riverina Festival is proudly supported by the NSW Government’s Flagship Event Fund.
“The Flagship Event Fund supports the marketing of events, like the Taste Riverina Festival, which play an important role in driving more visitors to our wonderful rural and regional areas,” Mr Marshall said.
Chair of Taste Riverina Festival Craig Sinclair said, “This year there is something for everyone. The food, wine and beer grown and produced in the Riverina is outstanding, and the diversity of the Taste events provides the perfect opportunity for locals and visitors to learn the stories, taste the produce and experience the region.”
The 2017 Taste Riverina Festival will include events in Barellan, Griffith, Grong Grong, Leeton, Lockhart, and Narrandera through to Temora and Tumbarumba from late September until the end of October. Experience the wide variety on offer throughout October by visiting www.tasteriverina.com.au.
